Happy April! Isn’t it wonderful to see the sunshine again? It is so nice to see the children playing outside again, enjoying the fresh air. Spring is here, I think.
Easter Week: This week we will be participating in some Spring/ Easter activities. Students will be dying Easter eggs on Thursday March 28. I would ask that each student bring at least 3-4 raw eggs to colour for this day. It is important that the eggs are raw as we will be blowing the yolk out.
I am also needing some parents to supply food colouring and vinegar for this event. If you are able to help us with this donation, please let me know or send a note in your child‘s agenda- I’d greatly appreciate it.
Thursday March 28th is our Parkcrest Annual Egg Drop. This is a fun optional event for all students. It encourages families to work together to build a contraption that will carry a raw egg gently to the ground from the roof of the gym. We will be going outside to watch Mr. Aziz drop the containers from the roof. The school will be supplying the raw eggs, please make sure if your child wishes to participate, that there is a way to put the egg into the contraption.
Additional Information:
April 2 - 26, our school will be collecting any gently used shoes, boots, runners for Nicaragua.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Latta
